Positive: Everything about this apartment is absolutely amazing. My husband and I stayed for 6 nights total. The location of the apartment could not be better. It is within walking distance of the local bakery and tavern. Both are exceptional and welcoming. We made use of the provided chairs and umbrella which made going to the beach very comfortable and relaxing. The apartment is a couple steps away from the beach which was in our opinion one of the nicest beaches around. We also enjoyed going to Marmari Beach which was within driving distance and made for a nice day trip. I can’t recommend this location more. We recommend coming in June as it isn’t as busy and you can have a lot of attractions to yourself. We hope to be back one day to enjoy Kokkala again!

Negative: The parking outside of the apartment worked well for us, however it might be possible that during busier times of the season parking might be slightly more difficult.

Positive: This place is a little piece of heaven. It would be hard to find anywhere with a view like the one from the balcony, the turquoise bay and mountainous coast behind, with the peaceful sound of the waves pervading the apartment. This was the best part of our holiday, with the beach so close and the quiet of the village - hardly any noise from the road. The apartment was spotless and even in such a tiny kitchen space we were able to cook a variety of simple dishes with the appliances and cookware supplied. There is only one taverna in the village and the small supermarket is pretty basic, because the village is so un-touristy, but that is part of its charm. I suggest stocking up before you arrive. The host, Sotiris, offered us a share of his breakfast pancakes and fresh lemons and tomatoes from his garden. We also benefited from the attentions of an extremely affectionate and charming cat!

Negative: Since not many people speak much English in this village we couldn't get much information about where to go when the satnav told us we had arrived, and the place is not signed so that you can see it from the road. We finally found it by saying the name of the host to a neighbour. The television was all in Greek, we couldn't find our way around it. And we could have used a couple more mugs. Apart from these tiny niggles, everything was perfect.

Positive: Compact but perfectly comfortable for two adults and a teenager. Nicely furnished and tastefully decorated. Small seating area on terrace next to room and more space downstairs for eating. Quiet beach opposite with jetty to jump off into clear water. Low key town. Very friendly cats. Value for money.

Positive: We stayed 4 nights in Kokkala and loved our accommodation in the Old Bakery Room. The design was charming, the location perfect (right next to a small swimming beach), and the facilties modern. Sotoris our host was super-helpful and made us feel welcome. Even his 2 cute little cats were friendly! We highly recommend this spot.

Negative: Being at the end of the holiday season (end of Sept) the town closes down. The supermarket is very poorly stocked and even the bakery was closed, which was disappointing.

Summary: Loved our stay!
