Accommodations: Over 5,000 sq feet home with 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, game room, 2,000 sq feet of deck and amazing views from every room.
This upscale, custom built, luxury home sits on over 4 acres overlooking Franklin and looking out at the Appalachian Trail. Private neighborhood with a two-lane paved road and paved drive way.
Our home is equipped with modern comfort and safety features including a NEST system and external video and/or audio security monitoring. The furnishings are upscale with a couch, love seat, lazy boy recliner and comfy chair with ottoman. The king size mattresses & pillows are wonderful, natural hickory wood floors, tile and high-quality carpet in the downstairs game room and bedroom. The kids of all ages will enjoy the game room that has a pin ball machine, pool table, air hockey, Foosball and four theater chairs for watching the game or playing video games. The kitchen is very well equipped with stainless steel appliances, huge island, all of the pots, pans, dishes, etc, that you could ever need.
This home will sleep 8 and is perfect for a family get together or two families vacationing together. So you can fully picture the layout, the main floor is one large room - living area, dining & open kitchen with huge windows looking out at the amazing view of the Smokey Mountains. The master bedroom with en suite bath is on one side of the house and has his and her own vanity, toilet, walk-in closet and share an all tile shower. Two other bedrooms are on the other side of the main floor and have their own bathroom with tub/shower. The downstairs bedroom (second master) has a large bathroom with two sinks, tub/shower and huge walk-in closet. The living room, four bedrooms, and game room all have large flat screen plasma TVs. The house also includes Dish Network, Wi-Fi internet and terrific cell reception.
Come hike, bike, fish, raft, visit waterfalls, hunt for antiques, take a scenic drive, or shop, it's all here. Our location is close to it all and is only 10 minutes from downtown but still it is far enough away for you to sit on the deck and hear the wildlife.
We love families getting together at the house and therefore it is suitable for children, but we don't provide cabinet door locks or baby gates so it is not suitable for toddlers.
The views rival anything in North Carolina and the Smokey Mountains with spectacular daytime and nighttime views overlooking Franklin and the surrounding valley.
You will never want to leave and when you do, you will start planning your next visit.

Summary: This is an absolutely gorgeous house built on the side of a mountain, pictures do not do the view Justice... Curt, The homeowner goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. I would highly recommend this stay. I don't think you will find a better long-range view in North Carolina...

Summary: The view is absolutely spectacular. I’ve never seen a view like it. Rooms are enormous, the pictures don’t even do the house justice. We took the kids snow tubing and hiking and had such an amazing time. We loved the game room, and house was super well stocked with more than you need. Awesome way to ring in the new year. We hope to stay here again!

Summary: The pictures do not do this home justice! This is such a beautiful home and view!!! We have visited this area many times over the years and this was, by far, the best place we’ve ever stayed. A ton of space, the game room is awesome, the home is easy to find, but still way up on the mountain. The three huge masters (plus a kids style room) are perfect for friends vacationing together or a large family. My only advice would be for the host to put blinds or curtains on the bedroom and bathroom windows, especially with the new house being built above on the mountain. And the home could use a deep clean (IE mopping floors, wiping down walls, etc.)

Summary: This is advertised as The Most Spectacular Views in the Smokies and it did not fail us! The view is breathtaking upon entering the house. The house itself is very comfortable and spacious. The game room added great entertainment in the evenings. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!

Summary: 7 friends and family, all over 70, enjoyed this spectacular view and spacious house. It's many pluses prompted my husband and I to come back for a second summer. We were dismayed to find the carport and front steps unswept and covered in bird droppings when we drove up. However, the inside was immaculate and just as delightful as we remembered from last year. I swept as best I could with the small broom in the house and would have hosed it off if that option had been easily available. We LOVE the ever-changing view but more seating was available.

Summary: The view is priceless! Both from the inside of the house and outside! We enjoyed cooking out on the new grill almost every night as we enjoyed the view. We loved the swings on the balcony also! All ages enjoyed the game room, playing pool, foosball, air hockey, and best of all pinball! The host was quick with responses to questions. We will definitely go back! The only slightly negative thing is that the pool cues need to be repaired or replaced.
