Positive: Liked the feel of the hotel. Very Grande! It was beautiful inside. The location was great. The spa and pool facilities also good. Breakfast had a good selection of food and beverages. The friendly hotel reception staff and the cleaning lady! I didn't get her name but she was always there busy, hoovering, dusting, sweeping with a huge smile! She gave us such a warm welcome and was so polite and happy. Everytime we saw her she went out of her way to say "Good morning" star employee!

Negative: The huge scaffolding in front of the hotel which took away from the aesthetic of the hotel. Lift was out of order and we were on the 3rd floor. We paid 320 pounds per night for a superior delux room. Our bed was 2 single beds pushed together!We was charged parking fees to park in the hotel despite being paid guests. I think parking was 25 pounds per 24 hours. So 50 pounds altogether on top of what we had already paid. Breakfast was also extra but not too bad at 18 pounds per person per breakfast. The food was ok. Not worth the price. Our shower leaked and made a funny screeching sound during the night. Which was a bit spooky to wake up hearing at 3am. We ordered room service - it was a large order and we were made to pay there and then, the card machine wouldn't work so on the 3rd attempt and having to walk on to the landing at 10pm it did finally work but by that point our food was cold. We ordered 108 pounds worth of food and drinks and felt that we were made to pay straightaway due to the amount. It gives a non trusting vibe. The hotel did have my card details also so not sure why we had to mess about with card payments before eating/ drinking. I am not sure that the stay was worth the money!

Positive: Every member of staff we encountered was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Negative: Breakfast was very busy. A lot of items were missing from the buffet when we arrived and there wasn't much choice. Food was okay but not worth the price.

Negative: small room with a far to big clothes cabinet, made the room feel smaller. Ordered porridge for my wife agreed to wait 10 mins. Asked 10 and 20 minutes later and was told it will be here in a few minutes. We left without the porridge

Positive: The location was great The staff were friendly

Negative: Room was dated, out of the way and the worst pillows! The bathroom is tired and needs updating. The corridor from the bottom of the lift to the gardens had a not very nice smell to them
