Positive: The welcome on arrival was a cup of tea and a slice of cake which was much appreciated. We really liked the ambiance of the room and it was very well appointed. Positive: A home away from home! Linda & Jonathan are wonderful humans!!! One of the very best B&B's we have ever stayed in. Comfortable, great food, very clean, and a room with absolutely everything you could need. Beautiful gardens, too!

Positive: Linda and Jonathan (and Penny the dog!) were the most wonderful hosts, making us feel like we had popped over to see family for the weekend from the moment you stepped into the door. They made you feel at home right away and could not do enough to make our stay as lovely as possible. They were so friendly and down to earth. Breakfast was immaculate and could not fault a thing. All parts were thought about including the homemade bread and jams for the table. The room was beautiful and spacious, with the extra bits of fresh milk for teas and coffees, cold water, beer and wine and homemade shortbread adding the cherry to the cake! The whole house was spotless, could not fault a thing.

Negative: That we had to leave as soon as we did and that we couldn't take Penny home with us.

Summary: Home away from home. Linda and Jonathan have the most wonderful B&B on the outskirts of York.
