Positive: Vert good breakfast served by very cheery staff.

Negative: The access to the room would prove a challenge to people with reduced mobility. Not a problem for me but should be highlighted when booking.

Positive: The location, the pub and a great breakfast. Also loved finding out about the late GM and sitting in the same spot as he did.

Negative: The accommodation wasn’t great, the carpets and rugs are desperately in need of a refresh. Could have done with a better clean as there were active spider webs around the ceiling light and the fire alarm. The bathroom really spoiled the experience as it was very small, had a trip hazard on the way in due to the protruding tile and unfortunately you could not sit on the toilet properly because of the step into the shower unit.

Summary: Great pub in a great location, lovely landlord and we would revisit but would ask for a better room.
