Weekends at the Mill House in the winter are all about cozy dinners with a huge open fireplace in the family room, cozy bedrooms, and places to be together and/or find a space to be by yourself and read.
In the summer, its about the cool pool in the ruins of the mill, or splashing in Pantherskin Creek. Upperville has some great new offerings - Hunters Head Tavern continues to be a wonderful place for dinner, and in the center of the village, Bluewater Kitchen has opened with wonderful farm to table grocery items and ready to go pick up dinners. Slaters Run Winery has opened a beautiful new tasting room and deck at the Upperville winery, AND Upperville Farm and Feed has opened across the street and features fresh, local produce and farm eggs, and will soon source local meats. Summary: What a wonderful host. Our gathering of family was over Christmas. The host had the house decorated as though it was from a Hallmark movie. The house is very comfortable . All the bedrooms have lovely linens and comforters. The yard had a fire pit which was great for rest and conversation. It's a gem.

Summary: The hostess is amazing! We have stayed at the Mill House so many times that the owner feels like family. Our children and grandchildren love the Mill House and really look forward to our Fall visits. The property has so many things to love. Outside: creek, fire pit, “bamboo forest,” yard to run in, cozy out building, and an amazing porch. Inside: huge great room with large fireplace, several cozy rooms for quiet reading…and so much more. A place where memories are made.

Summary: Wow! This was a PERFECT 10! The host was lovely and even took pictures of our group (with the perfect sunset when we arrived). We were 6 college best friends celebrating a very special engagement. This incredible Mill House was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. From the beautiful grounds to the gorgeous kitchen and living spaces, we fell in love with this historic property with so many thoughtful design features. Don't wait! Book it now. Light a fire and watch the leaves change. Only minutes to Middleburg. It's heavenly!

Summary: Thank you for sharing your lovely home! The pool was a great feature for our August visit and we loved the screened-in room. We enjoyed the Middleburg farmer market, Lost Barrel and Arterra Winery. There’s much to do in the area but we also just relaxed at the house. The full moon during our stay was awesome!

Summary: We had such a wonderful time at the Mill House! The house and property are just lovely, even nicer than the pictures! There were three couples in our party and there was plenty of room for us. The house is so big and welcoming. There are so many places to relax both inside and outside. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening in the screened in gazebo area as well as around the fire pit. The pool is in a beautiful setting near the babbling brook. Plenty of space and supplies to cook and grill. Constance was so communicative and helpful. We would definitely go back again! Wonderful!
