Positive: The staff in the hotel was really nice and helpful, especially both of the reception staff we interacted with. It is easy to walk to Victoria station from the hotel and also has a lot of restaurants and breakfast spots in the way.

Negative: The bed in the room was really small which led us to not sleeping very well in the night. The size of the room felt small too as compared to other hotels I have stayed at. The bathroom had a bit of an unpleasant smell and didn't have any body cream either. I feel for the price I paid for the room, the room was below expectations. The hotel provides a free pastry for breakfast in the morning during a set amount of time and that was also all finished with no refills.

Positive: I stayed for 2 nights with my friends at the Melita, and we had a wonderful experience! The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. So many great places are within walking distance, including Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, and St James’s Park. The location is perfect, and I would highly recommend this hotel!

Positive: The location was perfect - we chose this hotel as we were going to see a show in Soho, so this was perfect for getting around. There was parking right outside (we did have to pay for a couple hours before the free parking kicked in). The bed was really comfortable and the hotel stayed quiet all night. The receptionist was also very friendly.

Negative: The parking situation was not clear enough online. Also the bathroom was a bit dated, with the shower made of a strange brown plastic material.

Positive: Friendly and personalized communication prior to stay. Detailed instructions for check in. Friendly welcome. Room was very clean, bed comfortable, quiet area. For a one night stay as a lone lady traveller, it was perfect. Check in/ out friendly and efficient. Coffee and pastries to take away in the morning were a lovely touch. The owners clearly care about their customer's experience and do what they can to make the stay pleasant. Great location.

Negative: The building is old and the rooms/stairs compact. Personally this doesn't bother me as I prefer a bit of character, but someone with mobility issues may find getting around challenging. My room had mirrored coating on the inside of the windows, which was very odd.

Summary: Great location, comfortable room and friendly, efficient service.

Negative: Request to give a 10 rating or no rating at all. I do not like that kind of pressure. I had a very good stay but would give it an 8, not a 10 because the room was tiny. Perfectly adequate but I would only give a 10 to a property that exceeded my expectations in all respects.

Summary: Lovely place in a good location recommended for people who do not mind a small room.
