Positive: It’s a beautiful setting and a lovely house. We were able to catch up on our laundry too. That was a bonus. Sheldon was a lovely host, making us a great breakfast and giving us lots of information.

Positive: We stayed for two nights in June 2026. We were there to visit some colleges with our son. The room was very clean, and mostly well appointed (coffee maker, kettle, mini fridge, table, comfortable couch, multiple outlets). The wifi was good, and the hosts were communicative about arrival instructions.

Negative: Vancouver was experiencing a heat wave while we were there (29-31°C, 82-86°F), and the room (room 2) had no air conditioning and no opportunity for a cross breeze. There was one oscillating fan, but it was not enough to cool four of us off. The home has a pool, but it was not clean, and there were no instructions about when or how to access it. The location is on the corner of a relatively busy residential street, but not within easy walking distance of anything but a golf course, so you are forced to deal with a busy intersection to get anywhere. The beds are extra firm, which is rough for side sleepers.

Summary: Near UBC, but otherwise not ideal

Positive: We loved the property , so comfortable and spacious and everything you need for a home stay type accommodation. Wonderful host and the garden was amazing. Close to train and city, if we came back again I would book my entire stay here. Laundry available and small kitchen .

Positive: Excellent beds and two couches were well received. The pool table was so fun to use. The little garage man-made lobby made access so easy to remove shoes before entering the main house. Having laundry a nice bonus if needed with lots of detergent. Free umbrellas too! 2 mini fridges were fantastic for our breakfast items. The host was friendly and when I noticed they had no iron to use on my special occasion outfit he bought one immediately for me . So accommodating and helpful.

Negative: The sink is quite small in the kitchen but for short visits it was not an issue.

Summary: We would definitely return if we could get the basement suite again ! Loads of space!

Positive: The hosts were amazing! They cooked us an extraordinary breakfast of fried dumplings, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt and more. And they drove us to the cruise ship pier and told us about Vancouver. The yard was filled with flowers. The shower was great.

Positive: The Bai family were very helpful and a joy to meet. We felt very comfortable and welcomed staying at their home. They have a lovely home with a beautiful garden in the back. Though the property is close to a busy street, the trees shrouded our room from a lot of noise.

Negative: There wasn't much not to like. If anything the property is a little far from downtown attractions, but not too far and there are many things to enjoy south of downtown.

Summary: My experience at this property was comfortable, quiet and very pleasant in every way.
