Summary: I very much wanted to love this place. It is obvious this used to be an elegant place in the past. Certainly all the people were great and as accommadating as could be. I appreciate that the property is undergoing extensive remoldeling. This is going to require millions of dollars. The first room I had in my December stay had a totally unclean, unsanitary, filthy nasty bathroom. They did move me to another room that was cleaner, but in need of maintenance. It seems that everything is old and being worked on in a piecemeal kind of way. Knowing from my October stay there the situation, I tried repeatedly to be in touch in advance of December to make sure of the accommodations I wanted. Trying to talk to someone there was nigh to impossible. Everyone was always “in a meeting” and will call back in about 10 minutes, which never happened. Pool was nice but in need of maintenance. The breakfast was very good each morning though some items were not fully cooked. One of the rooms we booked had roaches crawling around. The staff were super given what they had to work with. I wish them well in their endeavor to restore this place. But it will involve massive amounts of money. When I come next year, may give them a shot again to see if work really is progressing. Again, I really want to love this place. It has a definite charm about it.

Summary: This property has aged. Never been renovated. The hotel needs proper renovation and total revamp of air conditioning and it's reataurant. Rooms need to be re-designed with modern upper middle class and rich section of travellers in mind. Please note: the pictures here are not at all what you will get inside.
