Positive: Amazing place I must say and very friendly staff too. It's not inside the national park but comes just before the safari point (near the boundaries) Anyone who wants a stay outside the Forest reserve will love it. Peaceful stay and awesome food. Each dish ordered was excellent and the chef I must say no words..He's Superb.. Enjoyed every moment of my stay. Rooms clean, service too was good. Stayed for 3 days, still feel it wasnt enough. My kid had a good time with the naturalist. U want a simple peaceful stay, good food, friendly people around, then it's for you. Thanks Magnifera.

Negative: There are 5 rooms back to back and we expected it to be like single cottages. Should have gone through the reviews and photos again. My fault. Had minor power issues, as for a day out of 3 we were only one of the rooms occupied out of the 5, they hadn't switched on the generator which disappointed me a little. Otherwise if u are looking for a simple and peaceful stay then go for it.

Positive: We had a great stay at The Mangifera. The location is perfect — just a 10-minute walk to the Bandipur safari point. The staff did an excellent job, always attentive and friendly. The restaurant offers a rich variety of food (including western options if you do not like spicy dishes), and the lounge is a fantastic place to relax. Special thanks to Vimal, who quickly helped us resolve an issue with the flies in our room late in the evening, and to Murthy, an outstanding naturalist who made our experience truly memorable.

Negative: The central communication via Booking.com was not effective and could be improved. However, our direct communication with the hotel via WhatsApp was outstanding — fast, personal, and very helpful. Also, while the quality of the food was really good, the waiting times for dishes to arrive were sometimes a bit long.

Positive: It's a brilliant peaceful stay, they make you feel like you are the owners of the property, Manager Vimal and Chef Vinayak listens to your needs and makes you feel happy, I would say it's an ideal stay for someone who wants to escape from city chaos, if you are planning to bandpur safari or himavad gopalswami hill please contact the manager Vimal he'll help you to skip the line

Positive: We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the hotel! 🌟 The staff and chefs went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The kitchen team adapted perfectly to our food preferences and even mixed different dishes together based on what we liked — such a thoughtful, personalized approach that truly made us feel cared for. During our trip, we also visited a local temple on an excursion — it was an authentic and memorable cultural experience. Another highlight was the activities organized by the hotel: the team played volleyball with us, which was so much fun, and they also gave us bikes to explore the surroundings — a fantastic way to experience the area. We booked 5 safari tours, and on two of them, we were lucky enough to spot two leopards — it was incredible to watch these majestic big cats in their natural habitat. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any tigers, but it’s worth mentioning that we traveled outside of the peak safari season. Due to the monsoon, the landscape was lush and green, which made spotting wildlife more challenging — yet it also gave the jungle a magical, vibrant atmosphere.

Negative: As for downsides, the rooms weren’t cleaned unless we requested it, and the Wi-Fi connection wasn’t always stable

Positive: The beautiful property is approx 1.5 hours from Mysore and on the main road to Bandipur. People are warm and the food is exceptionally great. The time spent with naturalist Murthy was the highlight of our stay. The property is surrounded by sun flower farms and acres of mango and coconut trees.

Negative: Our room could have been more cleaner with better sanitary/bathroom fittings. Our washroom could have had better amenities. The stay was not cost effective.

Summary: A warm, beautiful getaway from Bangalore. Warm and hospitable staff.

Highly recommended doing a nature walk with Murthy - very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about nature and birds. We absolutely loved it. It’s a serene property, and it was a refreshing experience. Nestled amidst lush greenery and tall trees, the hotel feels like a peaceful retreat away from the bustle of the city. The lawn is beautifully maintained, with lot of beautiful trees around.
