Summary: We knew this was a hostel-like situation, so we were not expecting a lot. However on the day of our arrival we received a message that their “ normal checking times are between 3 and 5 PM” but that we could “choose to check in after that for a small fee of $25.” They also offered to give us the WiFi password but they would not tell it to us and wanted to personally enter it on our phones. Even after doing that, the WiFi passwords were not correct and they refused to tell us what it was. That interaction was bizarre. There was a small ac unit which worked, but it was on the floor, and was rather loud and took up space. The bathroom was dirty: the toilet needed cleaning, there were dark colored stains on the walls near the toilet, the tiles needed scrubbing, and the toilet paper dispenser was held on the wall with some goo and that was falling off. The bathroom was the worst part of it all. If you’re comfortable with low cleanliness, this is fine. It was safe and the people were nice (WiFi debacle excluded). Overall 3/10

Summary: I stayed at the McGaw guesthouse with my husband and seven month old baby. The goats were super accommodating, friendly, and really made our stay comfortable. I am looking forward to returning.

Summary: It was a different place and not at all what I expected. The owners were very friendly and the place was clean. Rooms were small and the A/C did not work so the room was hot and uncomfortable. This place was an experience for sure.
