Positive: The property was renovated to the highest standard. Still keeping its quirky old features. It was absolutely stunning inside and out. Immaculately clean, and lovely small touches throughout. Exceptional does not seem like a good enough word.

Negative: My only “niggle” is no TV in the bedroom. There was salt and pepper there but maybe some vinegar and sauces would be nice as you may not think to bring them. However, the milk and teacakes etc left were very welcomed. Thank you.

Summary: Amazing, stunning and peaceful. The perfect weekend get away. We will be back. I think it's our new favourite place.

Positive: Wow. Can’t speak highly enough of this one. Beautiful renovation of what was the gardeners quarters in the loft of a lodge dating back to the 1600s. The owners are delightful people who will ensure that all is in order. They have been extremely thorough in providing all amenities and are available on site.

Negative: There’s nothing not to like, but travellers need to be aware that there is a flight of stairs and then a short steep spiral staircase up to the loft. It is a feature that adds to the character & charm, but unfortunately this is not an option for the mobility impaired
