Positive: Highly recommended property. 5-10 mins drive from Chester City Centre. Good access to/from nearest motorway. Very comfortable and attractive accommodation with lovely 'Wet-Room' bathroom and very large bedroom. Huge King-Size bed that was very comfortable. Lovely rural location. Quiet and restful while still being in easy reach of most things that you might need.. Garage, Supermarket, bars/restaurants etc etc. We were visiting relatives in Chester so we didn't need to use the kitchen for anything more than toast and coffee at breakfast but the kitchen was fully equipped and offered everything you might need if you wanted to cook a family meal. Table and chairs outside for use during warmer weather. We would not hesitate to book this property again in the future.
Negative: No guests allowed at the property. This was a little disappointing as I have two grandchildren who would have loved to visit to see where we were staying. The property is within an area with stables, paddocks and often, horses in the surrounding fields. Once again. I'm sure my Grand-Children would have loved to see the horses and the surrounding countryside, wildlife etc. I would imagine that Mrs. Wales (Host) would consider allowing occasional visitors under the circumstances I have described if we had asked but the opportunity never arose during our stay.
Summary: Excellent, Thoroughly enjoyable stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again next time.

Positive: Lovely owner, happy to help with anything we asked about. Bed was huge and super comfortable, large room also accomodated the travel cot we brought for our toddler. Parking right next to the lodge and a lovely outdoor area which would be nice in the summer. Very well equipped with everything you could need, didn't have to get any cleaners, cloths etc. The lodge itself is beautiful, rustic but also modern and heated by underfloor heating, wet room bathroom and plenty of storage. Would have been lovely to have a wood burner as we stayed in the winter, more for atmosphere as the lodge was plenty warm enough from the underfloor.
Negative: Exceptional stay overall, it annoys me that booking.com put the negatives first on reviews; this is just a little feedback. The lane it's located on is not well kept, but this is not the fault of the owner. Just be careful when driving around. Overall exceptional stay, a little noisy with a few drafts, but we did stay during a huge storm!
Summary: Lovely winter break
