Positive: Very much an old-school backpacker place. Don’t expect much in terms of facilities, just appreciate a clean space in a great location, with friendly helpful staff. I loved hanging out at the attached bar & being able to meet so many expats, all with amazing stories to tell.

Negative: A/C could be a bit stronger

Positive: Really a great place to stay. Staff is super nice and friendly! Serving great food and drinks. Nice place very close to the river, to restaurants and bars. Stayed in private room, was very comfortable. Really recommended to stay here!

Positive: The Local Riverside Guest House/ Dot grill is an incredible location next to riverside in the heart of Phnom Penh City. The Owner Dot is so welcoming, friendly and kind. He and his staff are some of the nicest people I have met on my trip so far. They have an excellent selection of Khmer and western food all made by them fresh from the market. The place is clean, room and bed was comfortable and affordable. I would recommend anyone staying in the city to stay here I walked in not knowing what to expect and I have walked out with friends. Thank you Dot and the team you are the best! 🙏

Negative: No elevator. I'm 75 y/o I messaged them a week before I got there and ask for the lowest floor possible. They put me on the 3rd floor with steep stairs. They could have done better. Plus they lock you in at night. Like being in jail. My bathtub had duct tape holding it together and the water was only a small trickle. Not even enough to shower or shave' I booked for 3 nights and stayed only one. You can find better places at this price. I would not recommend this place
