Summary: We stayed here twice. It is a superb hotel. On our first visit, we were upgraded to a suite with a stunning view over the Mekong. On our second, we had a balcony room overlooking the pool. Both rooms were stunning, spacious and very comfortable, with very good sized bathrooms. There is a good sized pool. There was a wide selection of very fresh food at breakfast, and they had decaffeinated coffee, a rarity in Southeast Asia. The food in the restaurant was excellent. There was a two-for-one happy hour in the sky bar, which also served food. The staff were very helpful and friendly. One caveat: some of the rooms and suites face a nearby building and have opaque etched glass on the windows.

Summary: Stayed for 5 nights and couldn’t really fault the hotel. All staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible. Received a room upgrade, breakfast had a good selection, evening meal at the restaurant was excellent with plenty of choices both western and Asian, pool was great with happy hour at the pool bar between 3-5, sky bar then continued happy hour from 5-7. Staying at the Palace Gate Hotel was indeed the perfect way to start our Cambodian Trip.

Summary: The suite was fine, and with a balcony over looking the pool. The bed was comfy with nice pillows. Cleaning was perfect. The rest of the hotel was kept spotles and a above most places I have visitet in Cambodjia. The staff was very helpfull at all times.

Summary: An oasis in the heart of Phnom Penh Palace Gate Hotel & Resort was an exceptional place to stay and truly deserves a 5-star rating. The service was excellent throughout our visit: professional, warm, and always attentive without being intrusive. The hotel itself is beautiful, with elegant architecture, peaceful gardens, and a lovely pool area that feels like a calm oasis right in the middle of the city. After busy day in Phnom Penh, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location is also ideal, close to major sights while still feeling quiet and secluded inside the resort. Overall, a fantastic experience with great service, beautiful surroundings, and a very high standard of comfort. Highly recommended.

Summary: Wonderful experience, have a new home in Phnom Penh. Upgraded my room to an Apsara Suite. Every room is a bit different and very thozghtfull equipped with everything you would need. Staff carefully trained and over-friendly.

Summary: Stayed here twice at the beginning and end of my 2-week trip to Cambodia. Both stays were great. The service at the Palace Gate is IMPECCABLE, including reception, restaurant, spa, and cleaning. My room was super comfortable: huge bed and bathroom, hot shower, great mattress and pillows, AC worked great. One especially nice touch was the salt scrub in the shower. I liked the breakfast, especially the freshly made noodle soup, but the rest of the hot entries were not great, nor were the breads. I think this is the only area the hotel could improve. On the other hand, the dining area, overlooking the pool, is lovely. The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the Royal Palace and an easy walk to the National Museum and the river. I had drinks at the rooftop bar one night; they were ok - nothing to write home about - and the food was a bit of a disappointment there too. Still, the hotel overall was terrific; I would absolutely stay there again. One note of caution: there is construction going on right across the street from about 7 am to 5 pm every day and it is pretty loud, so if you are planning a trip in the next few months, you might look at other options for the short term.
