Positive: The location was second to none. I loved reading in the bright lounge area, and out on the bench in the beautiful grounds. Nick was a great host, full of good tips. The cottage has just been renovated to an extremely high standard, with a large double bedroom, a lounge area with a sofa bed, and a small kitchenette (microwave, sink, small fridge, & portable hot plate). The kitchenette was perfect for making breakfast and light lunches. It was a very relaxing stay for us. 10/10, would recommend.

Positive: Visited the Little Cottage in late October 2024. We researched The Little Cottage so we were prepared for how small and compact the interior was. It was homely and comfortable and had everything we needed. We managed to cook breakfast and meals using the the 2 ringed hotplate and microwave. The garden was huge and beautiful perfect for dogs as it is all enclosed. We would like to return in the summer months to get the full benefit from it . The setting was stunning and provided us the perfect base for visiting surrounding areas. Nick the host was extremely welcoming and friendly. He gave us recommendations for where to eat , walks, places of interest.. He was there if we needed advice or help but not at all intrusive. Nick was particularly helpful when our 6 month old puppy Kodi belly flopped into the fish pond providing us with a tub to bathe Kodi and extra towels to dry off our soggy doggy.

Negative: It gets very dark in the winter months and the country roads leading up to The Little Cottage can be challenging. Nick , the host, has put LED lights from the parking area to the property to make it easier to see in the dark evenings. We should really have taken a torch with us as we had to use our phone torches.

Positive: Little Cottage is so sweet, the views are heavenly and there's an enormous garden. It's quiet and peaceful in a very beautiful area, we heard a cuckoo. I can recommend Fittleworth Community shop. The cottage is tiny but well appointed.

Negative: The fold out bed was a tiny bit awkward.

Positive: Outwardly a summer house, but inside more reminiscent of a luxuriously fitted caravan though with a solid stone floor and more-than-adequate heating. Situated in the remote depths of the countryside but within the security of a huge private garden. Quite compact (even for one) but with adequate facilities for self catering and rest – I had a sound night's sleep on the sofa-bed throughout my 7-nights' stay.

Negative: Continuing the caravan analogy, the typical niggles of moving around in a tight space, dubious electrics and eccentric plumbing (e.g. the shower was scalding hot for the first 30 seconds). The bathroom design was more stylish than functional (although I appreciated the large heated towel rail). A door that wouldn't lock (though see my previous comments about location).

Summary: Unusual and quirky, a place to enjoy tranquillity and the company of deer, owls and squirrels.

Positive: 1. Beautiful scenery, well kept grounds and lots of lovely birds and even a nearby stream. It was awesome outside xxx 2. Excellent and considerate host. We arrived "early" (4-5 pmish) and he let us into the cottage. He even kindly allowed us to charge our vehicle. Thanks! 3. Lovely bathroom with hot water. 4. Clean and in excellent condition

Negative: 1. Advertised as a one bedroom cottage but it was one room only 2. Booked for double bed, but got sofa bed. It was uncomfortable and tight squeeze for 2 adults. Ended with my back hurting. 3. Cooking facility did not have extractor so afraid to cook in case cooking smell got onto our clothes 4. Not much privacy unless one let down the blinds. We kept the blinds down the whole time. Cottage had lovely windows but we felt exposed. 5. Check in time was actually after 6pm!
