Positive: Although quite secluded and surrounded by nature and fields of sheep, this amazing little apartment is only a 5-10 min drive from Linlithgow Palace and other local amenities and a 20-30 min drive from Stirling and Edinburgh. It provides a comfortable base for someone who wants a bit of peace and quiet in their down time while also having easy access to explore the main cities and towns. The apartment itself is comfortable and beautifully decorated while also providing all the necessities needed for a great break away from home. Everything is catered for, with lovely little touches throughout, and the bed is very comfortable. The spa bath is definitely a must after a long day exploring castles and countryside, did my partners sciatica the world of good. Our stay from start to finish was a breeze and the host, Lindsey, was a dream to deal with - nothing is too much trouble. This was our second time staying at the little beech tree and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Hopefully we can stay again soon 🤞

Positive: Location and parking was great.

Negative: Spa bath spat out dirt so didn’t use again. Also there was a hamper with some items in and the biscuits had gone out of date in 2016 and the hot chocolate was also out of date, because of that we weren’t comfortable using the eggs that had been left in the fridge. One of the cups in the cupboard had not been washed.
