Summary: Loved the hotel and the general location. Only downside was room was too hot, even though a fan was provided. With windows open, noise level from the road meant we had a poor night's sleep. Shame because everything else was excellent.

Summary: First stay for us at The Lion Hotel. We pulled up in front of the hotel. The surrounding countryside is stunning. Our room was very clean and well stocked with teas/coffee/chocolate. We had toiletries in the bathroom and tissues in the bedroom. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was superb and cooked to order. The views from our breakfast table were so pleasant with the river alongside the hotel. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

Summary: What a lovely location by the river. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The views from our room were stunning.

Summary: Room 7 was tiny and TV way too small and mounted near the ceiling. Definitely in need of tlc - very uncomfortable bed. Wardrobe was built into the bathroom which is a bit odd but nowhere else for it. Breakfast was mediocre. Very friendly and helpful staff; great location and very quiet. Not bad food in the restaurant and bar very welcoming.

Summary: The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were helpful. Parking was in front of the hotel, off the main street. The village had a few shops and a large town nearby. The hotel has a river at the bottom of the grounds which was lovely to sit near.
