Positive: Just everything is nice about this place. The rooms are very cosy, comfortable and super clean. Both rooms have a lovely balcony to enjoy the beautiful garden. And the absolute best thing are the hosts, they are the most wonderful people we have met in Thailand. Its worth going to Tha Ton just for this homestay!

Positive: I loved my stay. Nong and her family were so friendly and helpful. They brought me snacks and fruit and amazing khao soi, invited me to go to a local tribal market, arranged a boat trip for me and gave me a lift there in the morning. Nothing was too much. The room was cute, and the homestay was such a calm and relaxing place. Everything was perfect.

Positive: Warmth of Nong and Pom. Genuine and informed. The property has rustic Thai charm, situated in a friendly village. The boat trip on the Mekok and a visit to the recently discovered ancient temple complex were highlights. Shower and fan are effective and bedding good quality. A pleasure.

Negative: The nature of the build is perhaps less suited to people with serious mobility issues. Safety issues have largely been covered responsibly.

Positive: Cozy wooden bungalow in a garden. The furnishings are basic but functional, I really appreciated the solutions adopted. Nice hangers for hanging clothes made by hand using bamboo. Overall the bungalow reminded me of the wooden houses of some mountain villages with the addition of a modern bathroom which is accessed by a wooden staircase. The mattresses are comfortable. The owners are very welcoming. They helped us with information and advice. Good breakfast with fresh products.

Negative: There is some noise from outside. Since the structure is made of wood, the acoustic insulation cannot be total.

Positive: The property itself was one of the nicest I’ve stayed in Thailand for the price, with a private bathroom and beautiful decor I felt so at home! The room looks exactly like the photos, Towels and soap are included and the room locks. But on top of that, the hosts were such kind, engaging, and interesting people that made our unexpected stay in Thaton so worth it. Breakfast was awesome, and there’s a friendly golden retriever that made my whole day :)
