Positive: The staff were warm and friendly and very welcoming. The ambiance of the pub was again warm and welcoming with a lovely relaxed feel. The food was exceptional and a real find. They catered very well for my dietary requirements of being Gluten Free, Dairy Free and unable to eat Pork. The food offered to me offered no less a flavour or variety. It felt just as special to me as it did to my husband and son. Our room (number2) was perfect for the three of us, with a double bed in the bedroom, a shower over the bath in the bathroom and a single bed in the main living room, that was also equipped with a sofa and TV. The pub wasn't mad busy this evening but any busier and it 'may' have been a little noisy for the room with the single bed in, which sits above. He wasn't affected on this occasion. The beds were all super comfy with lovely clean and comfortable linens. The water hot and over all a very comfortable and specious room that we'd happily stay in again.

Negative: Breakfast was set up for us, which was lovely. We did however have quite some wait before we saw anyone to make us a hot drink. Although there were a couple of pots of Gluten Free Oats, there was no alternative non dairy milk or means of heating them up, so my choice was extremely limited to fresh fruit. Yes, I could have asked once the lady arrived to offer coffee but by then, my husband and son had finished their breakfast and It all felt too late. An alternative milk and a cereal for cold milk would have avoided this need along with some GF Bread with a vegetable spread too. Otherwise a lovely selection.

Summary: A fabulous find ... warm, welcoming and with exceptional evening meals. The perfect spot.

Positive: Lovely little pub nestled in the countryside - we came for a wedding but enjoyed our overnight stay just as much. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and equipped with so many little touches - toiletries, biscuits, robes etc. We also had dinner and breakfast - both delicious and very generous.

Negative: The room was perhaps a little small for the price - there was no seating/desk area.
