Positive: The property is an excellent place to stay. The room sizes were really big - the lounge and downstairs bedrooms were huge. Very comfortable beds. Everything, especially in the kitchen, was well equipped. Even the towels that were left for each guest had really lovely big bath sheets. Its setting was in an old kiln works and it was very quaint. We had sun out on the back terrace for most of the afternoon. But on the front terrace near the kitchen we had the sun in the morning to enjoy a coffee outside, and also in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine. We were about a 15 min drive to St Austell with bigger supermarkets. But we were in Roche which has a local Co-Op for all essentials. The village also has a pharmacy, fish and chip shop, kebab shop, butchers and a Chinese, probably a few more too. There was also a pub right in the village and also one a bit further on, 5 mins in a car. Also a few mins drive was the village of Bugle, again with a few shops and pubs. Both the villages had train stations which connected to the bigger station in St Austell. It was a very central place to stay in Cornwall to get out and about to other places. My family loved staying here and we would not hesitate to book here again if we come back to Cornwall another time.

Negative: Really couldn’t fault this place. The only thing if I have to put a slight negative was it would have been nice if the terrace area off the front room had fake grass instead of gravel stones. I was staying with my two 21 month old twin granddaughters and it was hard to sit outside with them to play as they couldn’t really play on the stones, and the patio wasn’t wide enough with all the chairs and tables on there, and also had a bit of a step down which one of the twins stumbled off. We had such great weather for the week that it would have been great to make use of the outside space more, instead of having to sit inside.

Negative: Just the pouring rain for 2 days!

Positive: Very clean, very comfortable, excellent facilities in the house. Very good location within Cornwall. Will return next year!! Andy, the maintenance guy is excellent

Negative: Nothing major at all. The kilns is not marked as a disabled access property, but as someone that is disabled, the only thing that I needed was something in the shower to put soap and shampoo on
