Positive: Great breakfast in the morning as well as a social hour with wine and apps in the afternoon. The staff was warm and accommodating. Free parking and great location.

Negative: Didn’t care for the shower located right in the bedroom.

Summary: All in all, I’d highly recommend and I’d book again.

Positive: The room that we had, had a fantastic view. Breakfast was very good. It was quite tasty. The grounds were very well kept and fairly good size. The owners are very hospitable and shared the history of the Inn.

Positive: The location is great. It is a very short walk to Cannery Row, although somewhat hilly. They offer very comprehensive advice for places to eat, as well as things to do locally. The breakfast was restaurant quality, and the hospitality hour refreshments were excellent. And they also had cookies all day. The brandy in the room was an unexpected touch.

Summary: It is a luxurious stay close to the attractions of Monterey.

Positive: Perfect location, a short walk to shopping on Cannery Row and many restaurants and cafe's but off the beaten path. the property and the house are beautiful Everything is old but charming. Service was superb with a welcoming text prior to our visit and a tour as soon as we arrived. The wife of the owner couple helps everyone feel at home (we saw her the afternoon/evening and the husband in the morning). Wine and cheese hour was nice, one of the guests sat near enough that we could chat so it was enjoyable (guests are encouraged to sit apart from each other, in their own spaces). We didn't want a 2nd glass of wine but if we had, it was available, we had a lovely cabernet but a white was also being served. Our room had a spa tub big enough for the two of us.

Negative: We could have stayed at a hotel but paid the extra money for the breakfast experience. It was a small, rubbery quiche, no crust and not enough cheese or butter or something - like a diet quiche. a slice of orange and some strawberries also on the plate and before the quiche was a pastry from a nearby bakery. I just expected a yummy breakfast and it was a huge disappointment. The coffee was not great, either. Also, maybe hospitality is not the same after 2020 but we all had to sit in separate little place, not at the large dining table all together. We missed the B&B vibe of good company and a delicious breakfast.
