Negative: The building is next to an old parking lot, and during the night there are times people will leave their cars running or play music which can be loud.

Positive: Cozy and full of charm, great location, good customer service.

Negative: There is no staff onsite, the main door was unlocked when I arrived, and the lock to my own room as well as the shared bathroom were very wobbly and did not feel secure. Also, the bathroom window opened onto Main Street and its blind was see-through.

Summary: Very charming, clean and quiet lodging in a beautiful location with some security issues.

Negative: Access to the bathroom and strange problems with payment through booking. Very little flexibility when my payment did not go through, but surprisingly very nice when they requested a rating.

Positive: Great location and lovely building with nice period features inside. It was clean and well maintained. Easy to access building and room.

Negative: Lamps on bedside tables didn’t plug into anything, no chairs for reading or relaxing, odd sink and setup adjoins rooms (make it a shower so guests in that room don’t have to shower down the hall), didn’t see any personnel and got one towel each for three days. The picture above is not accurate to the room. Seemed like there was some type of room rentals at basement level. We didn’t encounter any problems other than the towel situation but if we had I don’t know who we would have spoken to.

Summary: It was fine for three days.

Positive: This was my second stay at this hostel, and it was just as great as the first — maybe even better! The staff are always super kind and easy to reach, which makes everything from check-in to check-out really simple. I stayed with my friends in the room on the second floor, and it was spacious, spotless, and really comfortable. The view from the deck was amazing — we spent a lot of time out there just relaxing and enjoying it. The service overall was excellent, and the whole place has such a friendly, welcoming vibe. I’d absolutely come back again and recommend it to anyone visiting!
