Positive: The location is nice and convenient, parking good, the room was clean. However, it felt like it had seen better days. We had a light bulb missing in the bathroom (not broken, missing), the gold doorknob had white paint all over it, the room smelled very artificially scented, to the point where we opened the window. The rooms next to us were partying for hours which was not the vibe we were going for.

Positive: It’s has an old world charm about it and the wrap around porch is inviting.

Negative: We arrived off-season on a cold and windy day for a two-night stay. For a day and a half, our room had no heat. The attendant said he would fix the heating but didn’t follow-up. We finally asked for and were given a space heater that worked well. Yesterday’s dirty cups were still in the bin where continental breakfast is served. (Only three of the twenty-some guest rooms were occupied.)

Summary: Come in warm weather when staff is better prepared for guests.
