Positive: We loved the location, beautiful views and green space but only a 5 minute walk into the village. There was plenty of room for my family and our dog. Peter, our host was really helpful and welcoming and answered our questions quickly when we emailed him.

Negative: Everything was great!

Summary: Beautiful surroundings and a comfy, spacious property that my family LOVED

Positive: A cosy home-from-home with incredible views over the fells. Clean, well-equipped (even some fresh coffee) and with easy parking. Emma and Peter were genuinely lovely hosts. It's very close to Marsden's restaurants, albeit up a steep climb.

Negative: Nothing really

Positive: Well equipped. There was everything in the kitchen. Tea coffee and milk for a first drink and snacks. Very clean everywhere and lots of nice touches. A warm welcome by the owner. Amazing views over the area. Very private and quiet.. Rugs available for cuddling up in. Although I've put some comments in the what we didn't like, overall a pleasurable experience. Plenty of parking.

Negative: Sofa bed wasn't comfortable and not very private although there was a screen available. When anyone went to the bathroom in the night,it disturbed the person on the sofa bed . Duvets we're quite a high tog for us so it was hot at night.

Positive: The brief: a place to host my elderly parents, visiting from overseas - and allow my children to drop in during the week. A place in a good, tranquil location where we could while away the hours but also explore the area by car. The hayloft delivered admirably: great in every sense, clean and comfortable, fantastic open plan living room, kitchen and dining area, very well equipped. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. Marsden was only a short walk away - shops, pubs, the canal towpath. Great views of the valley.

Negative: There was nothing we didn't like. Opening and closing the access gate to drive in and park was something we quickly got used to.
