Positive: Staff before arrival were super helpful, as they were during our stay. The location is great, and the bed sheets much better quality than I was expecting. We had the room with a view overlooking Sunlight Rock which was stunning. Breakfast was a little to local for my liking but it was as I expected it to be. We really enjoyed out three nights, and would happily return.

Negative: Milk with morning coffee, the use of less disposable items such as the coffee cups at breakfast would be good. Outdoor furniture on the balconies was old and uncomfortable.

Summary: Delightfully experience.

Positive: It's a small, two-story place. The rooms are nice. They have a very nice courtyard and even have a few cats you can take photos with. Good view and also trees around so looks beautiful. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. No breakfast buffet, but they bring you the breakfast platter and it's nice.

Negative: It's an uphill walk from the main tourist area, then about ten steep stairs up to the courtyard, then up stairs again with your luggage if you're on the 2nd floor. However, you can hire someone to take your luggage there or back to the ferry station area.

Positive: The breakfast was nice. The host obliged and made coffee for us on request. I was expecting a room on the ground floor but we have to climb to level 3. However, host helped us with our cabin case. By china standard, the room is a little small. if only the weather is dry and warmer, we could enjoy some time in the balcony with nice view of the sunshine rock. i find the location a bit far from the ferry pier. a good 15-20 mins walk with a stretch uphill from the pier. Luckily our luggage is not heavy. Visitors to gulangyu should know there is no traffic on this island. We spent 2 nights here. There was light rain on both days till the morning on departure day. Recommend a day trip. Can buy ferry ticket on the fly when dry weather is in forecast.

Positive: It’s well located, but the numbering on Bishan road is all over the place, so it took us a while to find it. Once we got there, the environment is tranquil and the view of the 3rd level is stunning. The breakfast is extremely good. Home cooked congee with fresh fruit.

Negative: The lights in the room is wired so that you are not able to leave one light on only.

Summary: Will stay there again.
