Positive: the location is pleasant and the pub is pretty with great potential- but…

Negative: the staff were shockingly poor. when i arrived it took a full five minutes for even my existence to be acknowledged- even though the staff were standing right in front of me at the other side of the bar. the bed was as hard as a rock, the bath was filthy. the manager was astonishingly rude- when i attempted to give him feedback he said, and i quote, ‘ i’ bored of this- im going’ i am still somewhat speechless

Summary: one of the worst places i have stayed in a very long time

Positive: Comfortable room and an excellent breakfast.

Negative: The sink had multiple cracks but this didn't distract too much from our stay. The room was clean, comfortable and warm.

Positive: The location and staff really good, restaurant had good choice of menu, food excellent.

Negative: Our room was fine but it was the hardest bed I’ve ever slept in, had to put doona cover under us just for padding!

Positive: This is the perfect pub & accommodation combination for a short stay. The restaurant has an excellent menu and well kept cask beer with friendly staff service. The rooms are well appointed in the converted stables adjoining the main building over looking the well attended pretty courtyard garden entrance. Our 3rd stay as ideal stop for onward A1 journey to see family in quiet village location

Negative: The bed room mattress was a little firm for our taste.
