Positive: The hotel was in a lovely peaceful setting with a lovely pool, good restaurant and helpful staff. Diki, who picked us up from Gilimanuk and then took us to Ubud the next day, was the best driver we had in 2 months in Indonesia.

Positive: The position of the hotel and the layout is very good,there is a wonderful view from the pool towards the ocean, staff were nice.
Negative: The area around the rooms are in need of maintenance, pool needs a good clean, it’d be a much nicer place if the gardens etc were manicured a bit,doesn’t take much work.

Positive: good position with a swimming pool. nice view. good food at the restaurant.
Negative: really bad mattress with springs in my room , i woke up in the morning with back pain and i couldn’t by sleep during the night. the position needs a car. grab arrive only with motorbike the menu in the restaurant is not fully guaranteed. you can choose something but most likely they may not have it and you will need to swap your choice. if you have a menu you need to satisfy the request or change menu .

Positive: The view of the sea and rice fields is fantastic. In July, the sun is on the pool area all day and there are great sunsets. The bungalows are spacious, recently renovated and quiet. The bathroom is especially nice, with a large shower and good tiling. There is a 20 metre pool that is very clean and you can do laps. There are plenty of sun lounges. The paving around the pool is mostly good, but could use a clean in some areas. The staff are excellent. The restaurant has a lovely view and breakfasts and all meals were great. For the quality and service, we thought the restaurant prices were good compared to other places in Bali. My wife especially enjoyed the Tuna. We enjoyed playing billiards and fussball in the evening. The gardens are also very nice, although more frequent mowing would be good. We did the hotel excursion to Sekumpul waterfalls, which was amazing. The driver was great. We did the full 2.5 hour walking tour around the falls, which was excellent.
Negative: The main drawback is no transportation. It's 10 minutes down to Lovina Beach, but no cars will come up. In principle, the hotel runs a shuttle, but we tried to get that and were told they didn't have a driver. T he owner is French. He is quite friendly, but rather abrupt. We didn't see much of him, so often the staff were standing around chatting. We stayed for 6 nights and at most 5 out of the 20 bungalows were occupied. This was good for us, but the staff could have picked up a cloth or a broom, rather than doing nothing. There is no room directory in the rooms, so we took a couple days to figure out how things worked. The minibar fridge in the room is noisy. The mattress had no mattress topper or mattress protector. We improvised, but the beds are firm. There is sometimes a bad smell in the bathroom. There was still some renovation work going on, so some noise during the day. It wasn't bad though and not early in the morning. We had laundry done in house, which was a disaster. Two of my wife's tops were ruined and we had to argue quite a bit with the owner over compensation for the damage. I've never experienced that before. Most places would give you something complementary for the inconvenience and pay for replacements. We were quite understanding, but the owner did not behave as we would have expected. He did eventually compensate us for the loss, but it did leave a bad taste.
