Positive: It was well located in central Ripley and our room was very quiet

Negative: The Half Moon has a restaurant and advertises its food but nowhere was it mentioned that breakfast is not available. Our room was a twin and was very small.

Positive: Great location. Kim who welcomed me and works in the bar and kitchen was delightful. Room very comfortable, en-suite clean and well proportioned, tv etc all worked well, tea/coffee/ kettle etc . Food menu slightly limited but tasty and well priced for portion size.

Negative: Being a pub it was quite noisy until about 11.30pm - but that was understandable. I could hear a lot of movement from the room above me and shower next door, but it is an old property and not surprising. It didn’t disturb me but others might find it annoying if they struggle to sleep. Slept very well.

Negative: Parking a bit difficult to find. Some advice before arrival would have been useful. A gastro pub it is not. It’s a bit down at heel

Positive: There was no breakfast provided. However the pub restaurant downstairs provided an evening meal and the food was very good

Negative: There could have been more shelves/surfaces on which to put things, both in the bedroom and shower room. The wardrobe door fell off when we opened it.

Summary: This was inexpensive, basic but clean accommodation in a good central location. Would stay again.
