Summary: It was the second time staying at The Gables with the new owners now in residence. We were made very welcome with the soft opening on our first stay with an excellent cooked breakfast. Changes are being made as they find their way and they are now going to provide a self service breakfast as their growing numbers of guests wanted more choice. The staff are very helpful. It is £15.00 for the dog to stay which is a lot for one night. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Tea, coffee etc provided. toiletries also. We would definitely stay there again on route to our final destination.

Summary: Great for overnight stop. Good, clean amenities. Staff happy and friendly. Looked like updates being done in room, which were a little rough around the edges. Pleasant night stay for a good value room. If price was higher I would have been disappointed.

Summary: Unfortunately did not have a good night's sleep due to noise,very squeaky floor boards outside our room. We could also hear the couple in the next room quite clearly. Staff were friendly,nice little bar area and dining room.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was ideally situated as a stopping point on our journey. We would definitely return.

Summary: Friendly welcome when I arrived but the place isn't great. Shower head was the incorrect shape for the fitting so had to hold shower head whilst showering, resulting in a wet slippery floor. Neighbours had a dog in their room that barked every time someone walked down the corridor. Cooked breakfast was very basic with no toast available. Location is decent for travelling up and down the motorway. Better accommodation nearby for same/lower price.

Summary: Was really impressed with this very newly opened hotel. Location was perfect for us. Room was very comfortable with everything we could ask for. Dinner was lovely and good value, only thing I could suggest would be adding a veggie option. I cannot compliment the staff enough, they were amazing, very friendly and could not do enough for you. Would not hesitate to recommend and look forward to staying again.

Summary: The staff gave us a very warm welcome and could not have been more helpful. The room and the whole premises were spotlessly clean. We had a great breakfast and would definitely stay again if needing accommodation inthis area. Highly recommended.
