Summary: This legendary quiet luxurious hotel was everything I expected. The room was clean and beautiful in a simple traditional Japanese way. The amenities are excellent. I enjoyed the onsen and sauna. The Japanese gardens surrounding the hotel are beautiful and relaxing. Also, do not miss out on having lunch or dinner at the French restaurant. The food and the service were exquisite.

Summary: Great hotel. Has lots of history, spacious rooms great staff and a fabulous onsen. Also very convenient for the bus and Myonashita station. There are a few cafes and restaurants close by.

Summary: The Hotel is simply amazing Historic and Pristine And other than an issue with the Server at the French/Main Dining Room everything else was fantastic Staff was extremely fine and you have to watch the Video of the 2018-2020 Gut Restoration to truly see what went into the Hotel. It's a Gem. As is the whole area Don't miss the Open Area Museum

Summary: The hotel was beautiful but overpriced! The A/C in our room did not cool so we spent a very uncomfortable night there. The room was over $500 and for that price I would expect a nice cool room. The service excellent but again not worth the price.

Summary: The hotel and it’s grounds were beautiful. The staff was very accommodating, but check in was too slow. The restaurant staff was very accommodating and they had a nice menu. Overall, we would gladly come back.
