Positive: The grounds of the property were spectacular. Beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable stay. My wife and I enjoyed the grass tennis court and swimming pool. We cannot wait to come back and stay again.

Negative: There was literally nothing that my wife and I didn’t like except having to leave when our stay ended.

Summary: A magical getaway in lovely wine country surrounded by gorgeous scenery in a very private setting.

Positive: What a fascinating property, remodeled old maternity hospital, (locals called it the old haunted hospital). So well appointed, great complimentary breakfast. Beautiful grounds with pool, fire pit, tennis court.

Negative: Little pricey but guess you get what you pay for and this is a really great property.

Positive: The Francis House is truly one of the most special and beautifully restored places we've ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and attention to detail—it felt more like visiting an elegant private home than a hotel. The historic building is stunning, inside and out. Every space has been thoughtfully designed, combining modern luxury with historic charm. Our room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the peaceful pool area and the delicious, homemade breakfast each morning. The location is perfect—just a short walk to downtown Calistoga, yet tucked away enough to feel private and serene. The staff clearly take pride in creating a one-of-a-kind experience. Their passion shows in every little detail. We left feeling pampered, relaxed, and already dreaming of our next visit. Highly, highly recommend!

Positive: The Francis House is fabulous! The grounds, the decor-beautiful and spotless. Breakfast is prepared and presented each morning by an attentive team led by Nelva, and delicious! Deacon and Robert ensured every detail was attended to, including information on restaurants and vineyards, even assisting in reservations. We look forward to returning soon!
