Positive: The location was very good as it was near the people I was visiting and close to the centre of the village. It's also a good base to explore the area. The wood fire was nice to have. The premises were very clean.

Negative: I didn't like the foot board at the end of the bed as I am tall and couldn't stretch out on the bed. In the bathroom it would have been nice to have lighting around the mirror as it was a bit dark there.

Positive: Clean, easily located. Great facilities. Rooms well sized. Plenty of kitchen utensils. Ideal location for what we had planned. Nice property. Quiet area.

Negative: Beds were not the comfiest. Gate for parking area very difficult / stiff. Had some trouble getting the lock to work on the key box.

Positive: We enjoyed a comfortable week here with 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Cottage was well appointed but not luxury. A good base for exploring all there is to see around Hadrian's Wall. A drive to find local restaurants.

Negative: Parking was challenging for one vehicle only. No back yard at all. We would have appreciated more furniture in the bedrooms where room allowed. Dressing table, chair etc in main bedroom. No flat surfaces to put things.

Summary: A good base for exploring this part of Northumberland.

Positive: Loved this house, it was huge and was far nicer than the photos! We had everything we needed, lots of room and we were very comfortable

Negative: I am struggling to find anything wrong with the house but if i had to pick a couple of faults they would be, no offroad parking and no internal doors , so it felt a little drafty when sitting in the lounge
