Summary: Dog friendly trip. Bar wasn’t open, pub with food is down the road, there was a wedding reception which was busy and the dog wasn’t allowed at breakfast so they pulled me a random table in next door nowhere near breakfast. Laughable!

Summary: The rooms were fresh and nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable and relaxing. The bathroom was very well designed with a great shower and twin sinks. The breakfast was amazing with fresh products and great locally sourced ingredients for the cooked option.

Summary: Our second visit to this delightful establishment. The setting and surrounding area is so pretty, plenty of parking spaces and an easy walk to the nearby bar and restaurant. The staff are so welcoming and have time to talk to you, most important in my opinion Checking in was easy. We booked a suite and we were very happy with it as it was stylish and also had everything we could possibly need including a Nespresso coffee maker!! The bathroom was large enough for a lovely walk in shower, large bathtub and double hand basins and was tastefully decorated The bed was supersize and very comfortable - a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was a joy. Freshly cooked and choices of cereals, fruit & yogurt plus delicious home made granola! We shall definitely return to Fence Gate Lodge in the future and thoroughly recommend it.
