Positive: Super location. Very tastefully decorated. Well equipped, plus above all excellent hosts. And fresh eggs, we even learnt the names of the chickens responsible. And there was an alpaca welcoming committee (buy some carrots, slice them in thin disks, and make sure the bossy one doesn't get more than a fair share - friends for life) And it was soooo quiet - how unusual that predominately you can't hear any human racket at all.

Negative: Nothing, absolutely nothing.

Positive: There was a wonderful welcome basket upon arrival with local bread, jam, milk and butter which were delicious. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable of the area and provided so much guidance and suggestion on areas to visit, restaurants to go to and walks to do- we could have stayed for a month and not done them all! The property itself was wonderfully pretty and cosy for a cold week and we enjoyed every second of the view.

Negative: Nothing at all- even in moody weather it was a great stay.

Positive: Jules and Trevor were lovely, always available if needed but out of the way if not. The cottage is in the middle of the dales and the scenery was fabulous. The cottage was always warm and cosy even without the log burner on. Very quiet, the only sound was the birds and the wind.

Negative: The bed was a bit creaky, very comfortable, but creaky when either one turned over. The sofa was not too comfortable but the rest made up for this.

Summary: Excellent, would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a quiet break in the country

Positive: We loved everything, a beautiful place in an exquisite location. It's a barn conversion that is gorgeous with every possible comfort. The bedroom is absolutely lovely and made us feel very pampered. In addition to all that, there was a lovely, thoughtful supply of wonderful food items left for us: wonderful fresh bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, eggs, homemade black current jam (our favorite), and a scrumptious baked treat. We loved seeing the curious alpacas. We highly recommend this very special place.

Negative: There wasn't anything we didn't like. Because of the location, it would be a challenge for people with mobility issues.

Summary: A Gem in the Beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

Positive: Loved waking up in the morning to the rural sound of cows and sheep from the neighbouring farm. The view from the cottage is wonderful, very relaxing to sit on the patio taking it all in. The resident alpacas are so friendly and being able to feed them was a highlight. Our hosts were lovely, making us feel at home right away and gave us recommendations for places to eat when we met up with family. The cottage is well appointed too, we felt we had everything we needed for our stay. It has a big comfy bed..a big plus. We cannot wait until we can return for another stay.

Negative: Nothing..we found it a perfect spot.

Positive: Isolated location. Peaceful. Easy access to local facilities and all Yorkshire Dales within easy reach. Perfect location.

Negative: Hosts night benefit from tweaking the ‘ How things work’ folder for a couple of little challenges we had upon our arrival. Both hob and TV Freesat would not function .. until spoke to our hosts .. seems that the TV cabinet door needs to be left open and cooking hob needs to be unlocked.

Positive: Wonderful, peaceful location with stunning views from the property. Quality accommodation and Trevor and Jules have a great eye for detail. Very comfortable bed and a thoughtful welcome pack which included artisan bread, homemade jam and flapjacks, eggs from their chickens, milk, butter, tea and coffee. Lovely to sit watching the wild rabbits, chickens, cattle and the characterful alpacas. Walks from the doorstep and loads of OS maps and walk ideas available in the cottage which suited us perfectly. Great communication with Jules throughout. Would definitely recommend a meal at the Craven Arms pub at Appletreewick and Cocoa Joe's if you love quality chocolate. We would stay again. 10/10.
