Positive: Lake Tyers is a pretty spot, and the property has a view of the sea and is close enough to hear the sound of the surf. Inside, the house is spacious and light, and would accommodate a family or two couples easily. The kitchen has everything one would need, with modern appliances. The e-mail with lockbox instructions had gone astray but the host responds quickly to communications so it was all sorted out without any problem or delay. On arrival we found that the host had left a bottle of wine and a few things to eat which was a generous touch. And the heater had been left on for us which was much appreciated, as it was during winter. Also the wood stove was much appreciated. The internet is Starlink so the speed is pretty decent.

Negative: No real criticisms. The little oil-filled heater in the bedroom was perhaps a bit underpowered for August, but there was a warm spare blanket in the wardrobe.

Positive: The view from the balcony was amazing and looks just like the photos. The home was bright and airy and had all that we needed for our stay.

Negative: Nothing. All was great.

Summary: The Dunes was a perfect quick getaway for us and our two small dogs.

Positive: It was lovely to walk into a spacious light filled house which had beautiful views out to the ocean. The welcome pack was much appreciated. And the follow up from the host was excellent. The master bedroom which also had ocean views was superb.
