This unique traditional stone farmhouse, bought in 1992, is on a 8.500m² land surrounded by olive, fig and fruit trees. It is situated on a slope at the edge of the traditional farm village of Pitrofos located at the very center of the island about 7km away from Andros Chora and 7km away from Halkolimionas and Apothekes two beautiful sandy beaches. Due to its central location visitors can explore the whole island either by car or on foot such as visiting the nearby archeological site of Zagora geometric settlement or Foros cave.
The residence has got an imposing view down on the valley ending at the Aegean sea. The 180m² house built in three different periods, beginning in late 19th century, comprises three levels. The third one is a “Dove house”, a typical Cycladic "Peristerionas" added to the main house in 1995 by the owner.
The house has been fully renovated respecting its own strong character.
It is accessible by car through a driveway starting from the farm gate.
On the first level there is a large kitchen and dining room, a bathroom, as well as a double bedroom all giving onto a cozy yard with direct access to the farm.
The second level giving onto a large wonderful terrace, is comprised of a large living room accommodating up to three or four persons, usually the children, a kitchenette , a WC with shower and a staircase leading up to the “Dove house”. The "dove house' is a double bedroom.
The two levels can also function independently, ideal for two families or couples wishing to have their intimacy and at the same time being with friends.

Summary: Me and my friends spent the good days in Julia's house. The house is spacious and fully stocked with everything you need. We were in four adults and a toddler and we were really comfortable. The house is situated in a quiet place, in a great position to reach the different beaches of the island. Julia is a really very kind and hospitable person. Throughout the time, she was available to give you all the necessary information. On the day we arrived she waited for us with a delicious dinner. I strongly recommend Julia's home for anyone wishing to spend days at Andros. Thanks to all Julia Daniele

Summary: Staying in Julias Dovehouse with our friends was a great experience never to forget. We were 7 people ( 2 familys) who arrived late night to a meal Julia had prepered to us. Up to our arrival Julia had been very helpful about texting us different suggestions - places to go, beaches and tavernas. It made our trip much more interesting. The DoveHouse is very spacious and with a creative and tasteful interiour. Everything is very organized, clean and makes you feel home. The landscape and view from the house is beautyful and it is difficult not to feel relaxed. During our stay we also had contact with Julia - again she was helpfully answering our questions. We would love to come back to the Dovehouse one day.

Summary: We had a wonderful time in Andros and Julia's place was perfect and exactly what we needed for our trip. We visited Andros for the graduate work of the university and the house inspired us to concentrate and felt like our home. The location it's easy to find, if you notice the signs. The house has an artistic look, is very comfortable and clean. Our room, kitcen and bathroom was well equipped as well. If you are a nature lovers, you will appreciate the natural habitat, the ancient pathways, the breathtaking view. Julia was an incredible host. Without doubt, we would stay here again! Summary: This was our first visit to Andros, it's a lovely island with some great walking on well marked routes. We were so pleased with the property I had booked with HomeAway. The house is just as I had imagined from the details, it's very quirky and we both loved it. The views are great and it was so peaceful. The added bonus was Julia the lovely owner who was there to meet us, and made us very welcome. There were so many extra goodies making our holiday even more enjoyable.
