Positive: A truly beautiful little holiday cottage with such an interesting history. It was fabulously decorated, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Only stayed 2 nights but were reluctant to leave. The perfect location for visiting Westonbirt Arboretum, Castle Coombe and Dyrham Park. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Positive: The directions given by the owner were very helpful. We found the property easily, and there was ample parking. The property has been finished to a very high level, with a modern kitchen, and well structured upper levels. Neutral score given in relation to the hosts, as we didn't meet them during our stay.

Negative: Only negative would be how cold the property was on arrival, and the bed was very squeaky (but was comfortable). Plus some more storage e.g. drawers or shelving, would have been good for clothes.

Summary: Very well done conversion, in a nice rural location. Perfect for what we needed.

Positive: Beautiful interior with a lovely kitchen and living area and a fantastic modern bathroom which even has a bath. Very comfortable and lots of space. Set in beautiful surroundings in a lovely little village Owners incredibly helpful and very responsive to questions. Very kindly provided cot and highchair

Negative: There isn't a door/separation between the downstairs and the upstairs (it's more a mezzanine level). Which did mean we were worried about waking our little one

Positive: Ideal location for the Bath Park and ride. The Dovecote itself was lovely inside as well and felt more roomy than the pictures suggested. The hosts were very helpful and friendly when we were having trouble with the oven.

Negative: The advert said eggs and milk would be provided but they were not. (Chickens may not have been laying for all I know though so it wasn't the end of the world)

Positive: A beautifully restored Dovecote, small and compact and perfect for a short break with my sisters. The location was a good base for walks and visits to Dryham Park and Claverton Manor (American Museum) and Bath. Lots more to see on future visits and The Dovecote is charming with hosts who were welcoming and on hand if needed.
