It’s comfortable and well-appointed, with an eclectic mix of antiques and brand-new furniture, steps away from key attractions that bring people to Old Town Alexandria, Washington DC, and National Harbor. Here, you will enjoy all the comforts of home. The fully equipped kitchen includes oven, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker. Summary: We stayed at the doghouse for a family vacation. It was very clean, had everything we could need, and was located only a short trip into DC. Street parking was easy and always available.The host was easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Check out was easy-take out trash and put the used towels in a basket! We will definitely book again if we are in the area!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in Old Town Alexandria! The house was very clean and complete with all the amenities we needed. Parking was easy to find and it was a quick bus ride to the metro to head into DC. Everyone had a great time!

Summary: The Dog House was great! This is the second year my friends and I stayed. It has everything you could need and more! We had a great girls weekend! We parked our cars right in front when we arrived on Friday and didn’t drive the whole weekend. We walked everywhere very close to shops and restaurants! Super clean and comfortable beds. Thank you!

Summary: We had a fantastic weekend stay at The Dog House. So conveniently located, clean, great appointments and cozy! Joel was reachable, but we didn't need anything while we were there. We live in the state, but opted to have a retreat space from our family and friends who were staying nearby at The Gaylord at the National Harbor. We were happy with our choice and the proximity to the commercial area, while being able to enjoy the quaint Old Alexandria neighborhood with all its charm. The bonus was being able to bring our pup along for the fun, too. We hate being away from him and usually have to make concessions with our rentals when considering bringing our dog along. The Dog House is one of those rare diamonds that checks all the boxes!We would absolutely stay here again!

Summary: House is in a super convenient location. House is super cute and has everything you need. Joel is a great host and responds quickly. Knocked off one star just for the neighbor. Out of owners control but neighbors decided to have an all out fight at 1 in the morning for over an hour. Again nothing the owner can control that is city living.
