Summary: Room fine, Nice touch to use gym and thermal suite facilities. Staff - service was fine although sometimes a bit too casual. Didn’t find train too noisy but grateful of ear plugs.

Summary: Been one of my favourite hotels in Cork since it opened but think it’s changed management recently or at least had a bit of a shake up as the experience this time didn’t feel the same. The beds have always been of fairly awful standard with 2 singles pushed together to make a double but they are now really showing their age and have become very uncomfortable and noisy. The bedrooms no longer have the custom dressing gowns that used to be a nice touch and the steam room in the thermal suite was also out of order for our stay. We also sadly didn’t have our room cleaned despite it being vacated at lunch time and our TV had 3 lines across the centre of the monitor. It’s a truly fantastic venue with great staff and I still really love the gym and thermal suite but I’m not sure I would rate the hotel rooms and stay at 4 stars any longer.

Summary: Avoid Sophie’s, bit like Macdonalds with a drinks licence. Cold room, very average menu, food served cold , overpriced

Summary: Hotel was modern and fun. Parking was a nightmare. Nothing easily accessible and you will be walking a long distance with your bags, hopefully not in the rain.

Summary: First time staying in The Dean in Cork, was expecting high hopes, but unfortunately it disappointed me! Given a room that should only be used as a single occupancy room! I felt very claustrophobic and confined! The layout of the room was completely all over the place! Service at breakfast was chaotic on both days! Definitely no WOW FACTOR HERE!!!
