Summary: Beautiful location with large rooms looking over Grassmere lake. The decor is clean fresh with great choice of colours. Super king bed was very comfortable and room temperature perfect. The artwork on all the walls is enjoyable and like being in a private gallery. Staff were all very informative and friendly, Ronny in the restaurant was particularly great. The food choice for breakfast is plentiful and although dinner menu small the food is beautifully prepared and presented. My only personal comment is that it would have been nice to have included a side of vegetables in the price rather than as an extra. Housekeeping spot on. The spa is spacious with thermal pool ( not really for swimming) sauna and steam room . Lovely after a day of activities. The grounds are well maintained and terrace provides a sunny location to relax and enjoy the views, or if feeling active you can access the lake for a cold water dip or launch your kayak .

Summary: We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The room and the entire property were exceptionally clean, and everything was well-organised and easily accessible. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. Our room view was truly magnificent, overlooking beautiful green scenery which made the experience even more special. Upon check-out, we were warmly greeted by Moses at reception. He was very friendly and professional, and kindly recommended some lovely places for us to visit before heading back to Liverpool. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we will definitely be visiting again.

Summary: When we arrived the reception staff was so lovely. We were travelling with my 10 month old son and they were so kind and attentive to him. It was so appreciated. The room was great, nice big bed and a cot for my baby. I like that the shower was separate from the bath too. I used the spa. Sauna and steam room are great and the changing rooms were clean and well equipped

Summary: A lovely stay, didn't use the Spa. Had Dinner in the Hotel the first night, very disappointed with the choice and quality, so I wasn't looking forward to breakfast, but that was excellent, plenty of choice for all tastes.

Summary: The reception staff were so friendly and always happy to help. Lovely to have access to a small spa after a day of walking, nice hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room. Good range of drinks at the bar. Free parking is a bonus and location was great only a 10min walk from Grasmere and a bus stop close to the hotel to reach Ambleside, Keswick and Kendall. Only thing that really lets the place down is the stained carpets!

Summary: Fab welcome to the hotel, informative and polite. The room was a good size clean and bright. The hotel an grounds were just what we were looking for having a night away. Unfortunately, restaurant and food let the hotel down. Small things like theblack of a steak knife to being served the wrong steak overcooked. This didn't improve at breakfast, cold sausage, cold toat, cold hard bacon, cold eggs. Not what we expected from how well the restaurant had been described on the website. Lovely hotel great staff front of house, just eat somewhere else.
