Positive: The rooms were nicely decorated and location was close to vineyards which was the main purpose of our trip.

Negative: We checked in at 3pm and left for our event at 6pm and in that time the pub was completely closed and we saw no staff. A phone number was shared but our message was not responded to. We wanted to book breakfast but we needed to let a member of staff know by 7pm, but there was no opportunity for us to do this given the pub was closed. On the website, the pub was meant to close at 11pm, but when we arrived back from our event wanting a night cap, the staff had closed the pub early and we were ignored when we knocked on the door, rather than anyone letting us know it was closed. I wanted to give the pub more of our service but I ended up having to ubereats food and drinks multiple times during our stay, which were delivered from Worthing, which meant waiting an hour for our breakfast pastries. I was disappointed at the lack of service, as there was nothing near by in the village and therefore quite reliant on The Crown Inn but felt stranded by the staff.

Summary: Venue was fine for what we needed, but check opening times before your stay!

Negative: Breakfast only via breakfast-basket and coffee machine in room. coffee machine in room needed 4,5 run throughs to be clean enough, food okay but overall for 10pounds a bit spartan

Positive: Although they forgot to give us our continental breakfast hamper, they made a special effort to cook us a full English breakfast which was delicious and extremely generous with options/quantity.

Negative: In comparison to others, the price was a little steep

Negative: The room is unsuitable for tall people; there should be a strong warning. In the shower I was bent double (honestly) and there are many protruding beams. Our daughters also had difficulty with the low ceilings and they are both under 6 foot tall.

Positive: This accommodation was perfect for myself and my partner. It was much bigger than we expected and it was furnished to a very high standard. It was very clean and the staff were all very helpful.

Positive: Breakfast muesli was probably the stand out for me . Location also convenient for Knepp Estate. Fresh milk and tea making facilities in room

Negative: Room needed a proper clean - not just a superficial dust. It was small. Access to it has restricted headroom so duck or grouse. Breakfast is a hamper left outside the door - so the only option is breakfast in bed. Complimentary shortbread was complimentary but was only two tiny biscuits. I wondered who had eaten the rest of the jar!
