Summary: June 2026 - We spent five nights at The Crane Resort in Barbados and had a wonderful stay. The standout was the exceptional service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Our oceanfront king room with a fourth-floor plunge pool was spacious, and the views of the cliffs and ocean were absolutely breathtaking. The private plunge pool was a great idea, but the water was too cold to enjoy. Fortunately, both resort pools were excellent, especially the quiet pool. Don't miss the scenic overlooks around the property, and the nearby village with several great restaurants was wonderful. We also had one of the best massages we've ever experienced at the spa. This resort is fairly remote, so if you plan to explore Barbados extensively, renting a car is a good idea. We were there to relax, and the location was perfect. My only criticism is that the property could use some maintenance. There was noticeable wood rot in places, missing pool tiles, and some of the beautiful landscaping looked overdue for attention. It's still a stunning historic resort, but it's beginning to show its age. Overall, we thought The Crane offered excellent value for the price. Given the choice, I'll take outstanding service over perfect facilities every time, and the wonderful staff made this a trip we'd happily recommend.

Summary: Everything was great except for the beach which was full of Sargassum seaweed, it happens once in a while and it's nobody's fault. The Crane provided a free shuttle and accommodation to Harbour Lights beach which was absolutely amazing, so no bad after all, the only minor inconvenience was the commute. Great experience overall, will always love the place.

Summary: I am very disappointed i made reservations for a specific suite and was checked in to a different suite when i told front desk they said that what happens sometimes, i was not refunded for price difference , the suite shower was broken AC was leaking, scuffs on the floor not to mention the floor was dusty it felt like sand on the floor and under my feet were dirty i was very disappointed not to mention it was my birthday getaway.

Summary: - Hot tub was under construction - we were not informed of this... so it was very disappointing. - This hotel is undergoing construction beside building 53... stay in building 52! - Security at resort was lacking BIG time! Not one guard around even on beach area where locals came down side stairs off property to sell 'coconuts' - Don't stay here on Sundays... the resort seemed shutdown no restaurants were available to feed us (unless reservations were set)... - Hotel booked our airport transfer with THE WORST driver every! He went 90 in a 65! And we were very scared. - Good news though L'Azure was wonderful for our Gluten allergy traveler - Loved having a washer and dryer in room. - Loved the plant-life and felt like such a White Lotus resort. Over all we had a blast BUT it

Summary: This was our second visit to The Crane and we loved it. There have been a number of expansions since we were here last and the property continues to be well taken care of. We stayed in a three bedroom suite with rooftop pool and everything was beautifully done and like new. Food was great, we especially loved the Tuesday night Beach barbeque. Great high end yet relaxed vibe.

Summary: We absolutely loved Barbados—the culture, the people, the food, the stunning beaches, and the ocean were all amazing! Unfortunately, our experience at The Crane Resort was quite disappointing. The Good: - The resort has beautiful grounds. - Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. - We stayed in a spacious private residence that offered fantastic views and a large balcony. The Bad: - The beach was unusable every day, forcing us into a cramped shuttle ride for 35 minutes to a very crowded alternative beach. While that beach had nice water and sand, it was inconvenient. - The pools were not well-maintained; the water was dirty and cloudy, and there were only 4 to 6 lounge chairs available—definitely not enough for a resort of this size. - There was no nightlife whatsoever; everything shut down by 10 PM. - Most of the restaurants were subpar. Even breakfast and lunch made Starbucks seem gourmet. Zen was decent, but our order was frequently misunderstood, making for unexpected meals, though they were fresh and tasty. - Wi-Fi was unreliable, working only about 10% of the time, and the gym was outdated and in poor condition. - We noticed stray cats roaming the grounds. - Check-in took forever, and we didn’t get our room until after 4 PM. - Management displayed a lack of care and often spoke down to guests. While we cherish our memories of Barbados, we have no intention of returning to The Crane Resort. We’d recommend exploring options on the West Coast instead.
