Positive: Duncan and Luzaan are the most wonderful welcoming hosts! The place feels warm and cosy and the hotel is located in a stunning location close to Glen Affric. The restaurant was closed (due to it being low season), but Duncan prepared a lovely home-cooked dinner for all the hotel guests and there is a small cosy bar which is also frequented by locals (and a living room with fireplace). The rooms are a bit older as this is an old building, but very clean and with spacious comfortable beds (which is not a given in the UK we have found:) Breakfast area beautifully decorated (same as the living room) and breakfast was perfect! Freshly prepared and cooked:)

Positive: All food was delicious and plentiful, staff were friendly and very helpful and the hotel is very comfortable . It is situated in a beautiful,quiet valley within easy reach of many varied activities.

Positive: This place is amazing. Recommended for the start of the NC500 off the normal beaten track, but don't go into Inverness. Come here for your first night. Duncan is so knowledgeable, customer focused, and he's amazing. Don't hesitate to book it.

Positive: We had an excellent meal in the restaurant and the cooked breakfast was lovely. It had a lovely olde world feel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming

Negative: It is a bit remote and the Sat Nav didn't quite get us there also the sign is a bit hidden. There was no TV in our room. There wasn't a very big selection of cold buffet items for breakfast
