Positive: I was grateful for the mini fridge and microwave (communal), as it allowed me to take away leftovers from a restaurant. Considering the price, the room is quite spacious and there is an electric kettle along with two pairs of mugs and two glasses, and a variety of teas and coffee. The bathroom is great (there's a towel warming rack!) and the bed is comfortable. In terms of location, my brother and i enjoyed the relatively short walk to the Gourock train station, since we were relying on public transportation during our stay in Scotland. We didn't eat at the restaurant downstairs, but it looked good.

Negative: Located right next to train tracks, this room might not be suitable for people who go to bed early or sleep in late. Also, wasn't a problem for me or my brother, but the room is not handicap accessible (it's located up the stairs over a restaurant).

Positive: Lovely location close to the sea. Nice and clean. Parking downstairs out of shop hours.Also there’s a car park across the rail bridge. On the sea front, we saw a dolphin and two seals pursuing mackerel being caught by the anglers - we’ll recommend ✔️👍

Negative: Unfortunately the railway company decided to close and do work on the railway outside the property overnight. From 2am to 5.

Positive: Both the room and ensuite were a great size and looked freshly decorated. Easy collection of keys at the property and great communication from the host prior to arrival.

Negative: Stairs might be a bit tricky to negotiate for some, especially carrying luggage but we managed OK. No hot water for the shower in the morning which was disappointing but Andrew our host explained that there was an issue with the thermostat that was being addressed.

Positive: Beds are super comfortable. Also lots of pillows. Cleaning staff is super nice and rooms were perfectly clean. The café downstairs is cozy and staff is lovely. Key broke upon arrival and the lady from the café was super friendly and helped us to call someone that gave us a new key which apparently had been mistakenly exchanged before. Train station is about half a kilometre away which is fine. TV can be watched from bed which is nice. Two free water bottles were a nice gesture.

Negative: House is really badly isolated so it was a little cold. You hear the neighbours when they walk to the bathroom on the corridor as sound isolation is also bad. So you could wake up in the morning.

Positive: Very comfortable bed, very clean room, plenty of tea / coffee etc. Quality bedding and towels. Good shower and quality shower gel / soap etc. Lovely breakfast in the 1830 coffee place below the accommodation.
