Positive: A lovely traditional country pub with great rooms on the ground floor. Very nicely appointed although a hook in the shower room would have been handy. The toiletries were great and available to buy as were a good selection of drinks in the fridge and snacks on the table. Bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet with no noise from the A34 behind the hotel Choice at breakfast was good. The whole place looked so lovely with many flowers decorating it. Really pretty. Lots of parking. Would be very happy to go again.

Negative: The Wi-Fi was only average but better than nothing.

Positive: Lovely shower nice size TV food was nice had the burger but not worth the price we paid

Negative: No wardrobe to hang clothes certain staff on reception need training as we said the milk had gone off and was told it wouldn't of gone off and we should have checked the date ourselves there was a fan in the room when plugged in smelt of burning

Positive: Very convenient location for travel from ferry. Food in restaurant was very good. Service was also very attentive and effective. Bedroom and bathroom both very clean and we'll presented even though small. The pub itself has lots of character. Coffee machine in room worked well for us.

Negative: Room was smallest I've ever stayed in. Very cramped for 2 people with luggage. This was made worse by the number of cushions and additional pillows laid over the bed. Food and wine prices are a little high. Wine was served at almost room temperatures which is not good for a white pinot grigio. We rescued it with a little ice though until the cooler kicked in.
