Summary: Nice, clearly marked newly resurfaced car park, well lit and easy access to the building. The room was spotless and the bed really comfy. Good breakfast in the morning and friendly people doing the doings. What more could anybody ask?!

Summary: The room was immaculate and the staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good but sadly we did not enjoy our evening meal. The vegetables that accompanied my main course amounted to a couple of forks and were very overcooked. My wife's venison pie was full of gristle. We would stay at the Canal Inn in the future but would not have an evening meal. Not a nice experience and made the stay less than perfect.

Summary: Excellent staff, very clean room, nice bar with plenty of choice, breakfast was lovely, (i had the english breakfast), all for a bargain price in my view, would definitely stay again, in fact we already plan to stay here when were in the area again, if i had one small niggle it would be the quality of the rump steak i had in the evening, it was a very tough bit of meat, it wasnt the way it was cooked as it was exactly as I'd asked for, it was just quite tough and stringy
