Positive: Comfortable solid beds and nice bedding. facilities of a high standard plenty of pots and pans etc. loved the woodburner Lots of space (only 4 of us) Great information sheets
Negative: There was stale food left from a previous visitor (in fridge and box) and dirty empty bottles on the table which made me feel the place was not clean (generally it was otherwise and staff apologetic) Outside lighting didn’t seem to work on our block which was a long way from the toilet/shower block. It wasn’t clear from our booking info that the toilet in the tent was portapotty. Neither big points but it would have helped to have known Background hum of motorway traffic was disconcerting at night (not used to it) but didn’t keep us awake

Negative: Some rubbish left under beds. Bedding did not smell fresh. Some of the communal toilets were not cleaned often enough.

Positive: The safari bell tent was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen area, with fridge and safe, was very handy. As was the toilet inside the tent.
Negative: It wasn’t clean - lots of dust, the toilet needed a scrub, the sofa has seen better days…

Positive: The tents are really cosy and it's lovely with the string lights at night
Negative: It was really really filthy. I don't think the tents get cleaned. Little tables etc were dirty and dusty, pans were not clean at all, mirror full of spots from people brushing their teeth, it has wooden flooring which in between the grooves is just grim. We found a paper with a doodle from other people, an empty water bottle, a pair of socks, gaviscon and a sim card plastic, which I think makes it pretty clear it is really just never cleaned. The only thing they do is change the bedding.

Positive: It's the perfect spot to stay when surfing at the Wave. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
Negative: The cleanliness can be improved. Under the bed, I found dust and garbage left by previous guests. The plates also had grease.
Summary: We had a wonderful stay at the Wave Camp. Just think the bungalos need better cleaning.

Positive: The beds were really comfortable and the log burner was great. The Wave itself was great fun, we only did one surf session there and wish we had booked more! There was plenty of space at the wave side to watch the surfers, lots of seats, and nice food and drink. Staff were all lovely and very helpful.
Negative: The only slight criticism (more of a suggestion) was that we could’ve done with an extra sofa or a couple of comfy chairs (or even beanbags) in the tent. To say the tent sleeps 6-8, there was only 1 sofa to seat 2 people. Others had to sit on wooden stools/benches. It by no means spoilt the stay though, and wouldn’t put me off staying again! Just something to be aware of, especially if you get bad weather and need to be indoors with the log burner roaring!
