Positive: The beach is beautiful. The hotel staff were very helpful. The room was big and really nicely positioned. It was a quiet and relaxing place to be. The shower was great. Breakfast had a wide variety of food.

Negative: Food was a little pricey and it wasn't easy to go outside to other areas.

Summary: A lovely resort with very helpful staff in a beautiful location.

Positive: We recently stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was such a wonderful experience! The hotel arranged beautiful decorations for us, which made our stay extra special. The room was spacious and very comfortable, perfect for a relaxing holiday. This was actually our second visit, and once again, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. A special mention to the housekeeping team who kept everything spotless throughout our stay. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we look forward to returning again in the future. Highly recommended!

Positive: This is my third time visit in Calm Resort. This hotel feels like home to me now. They are top notch in terms of hospitality. The food is delicious. 10/10 for the food. The restaurant staff is also very friendly and efficient and treats every guest equally. The front office staff also provided very friendly and efficient service. They gave a very warm welcome, provided good care. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Positive: At least the wifi worked well. And the hotel was right on the beach. Restaurant buffet was good with a wide enough choice to satisfy different tastes.

Negative: The hotel facility is fine, but it is horribly managed. Among the many failures (in no particular order): 1) no female masseuse (my wife did not feel comfortable with a male masseur, so we used another hotel) - this is pretty fundamental, and impossible to believe they can't find a woman; 2) external air conditioning units make a ton of noise so sitting on the balcony or leaving the window open at night for fresh air instead of air conditioning (since the weather was a nice temperature) was deafeningly loud from all of the other units; 3) bar made things up as they went along - refused to sell us some non-alcoholic drinks one afternoon even though they were serving drinks, and then later offered to serve us those same non-alcoholic drinks if we paid 10X the menu price; 4) cappuccino machine seemed to be just for decoration (they said it did not work, but then they should get a new one) and regular coffee was bad; 5) many broken beach chairs and umbrellas; 6) we needed driver back to Colombo airport, and the hotel recommended a local driver they said they normally use and who they informed us was a good driver and had a good car - instead he came with a dreadful car incapable of handling the highway or longer distances (he claimed the car belonged to the hotel for local use) which would not have made it to Colombo, so we had to switch cars - the driver was dishonest about the whole situation and lied to us repeatedly, so we lost two and a half hours, he was a terrible unsafe driver (and pulled over by the police), and even though he repeated the agreed price multiple times, when we got to the destination he asked for an additional 20,000 LKR which we refused to pay - this was the only time anything like this happened to me in two weeks in Sri Lanka, and gave us a sour impression on our last full day after a great trip.
