Positive: The Byre was cosy and like a home from home. Two good sized bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Nice kitchen/dining area with all the appliances you need. Lounge area with comfy sofas. Main bathroom with toilet and good shower and separate toilet. I liked that there were still visible parts of the original stonework throughout the building giving a hint at the history and character. The village was an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area.

Summary: Lovely, wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Positive: The beds were extremely comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The seating area was very relaxing and was great location just off the motorway. The owners where very fast to respond when we couldn't find the key.

Negative: The check in process was not easy, I had to message the owner to ask where the lock bock was. This seemed confusing for other guests as someone tried to use their key to get into our flat and I could hear them say "oh I think this is the wrong one". We were awoken by the guests upstairs on both mornings due to the loud floorboards. I understand it's a lovely old building but things do need to be done to help guest experience. There seems to be a small issue with damp as the paint is starting to peel off in several places in the property and had a smell in the master bedroom/toilet room of this. We also thought for the price we paid there would be a little cartoon of milk in the fridge.

Summary: Lovely property which is well equipped but needs some TLC.

Positive: Very comfy bed. Spacious accommodation. Location is good for getting around the area. Fairly well equipped. Good cosy lounge area.

Negative: Could do with some TLC eg. Shower tray floods, needs some re decoration, microwave display faulty. Directions to the property could be better. Would very nice to be able to recycle.
